Established in 1986 as a family owned company, multi-award winning Wright Signature Homes has grown to become a respected name in today’s building industry.

Its two owners, Roger Wright and Rick Herden, have carefully carved a reputation of uncompromising excellence in quality construction, design and dedicated attention to every individual client. Together they bring to every project a wealth of experience, professionalism and commitment to best practice, creating homes that continue to win accolades for excellence.

More than 500 Wright Signature Homes have been created since the company’s inception ranging from traditional concepts to cutting-edge contemporary designs, each built on a cornerstone of unwavering respect for client’s requirements, personal style and budget.

Its expertise has also been applied to non-residential enterprises with projects including group title housing, townhouse and unit developments, showrooms, corporate office complexes and industrial sheds.

Roger Wright. 

Managing Director.

Roger started working in the building industry over 40 years ago with his father, who was also a Sunshine Coast builder.

After completing his trade Roger moved to North Queensland to further his work experience where he worked on educational, commercial and residential projects including; Mater Hospital Mackay, Mt Archer Primary School Rockhampton, Middlemount High School, 14 Communication stations from Sarina to Townsville, Tieri Shopping precinct and a 46 house development in Tieri for Mount Isa Mines.

Moving back to south east Queensland Roger started Wright Developments in 1986 trading under his own personal company. He then registered Wright Developments QLD Pty Ltd in 2004 bringing his highly valued construction manager Richard Herden on as an equity partner.

Roger was also a past member to the QMBA State Housing Advisory Board.

Roger is also an active rotary member serving as both a past president of the Mooloolaba rotary club and assistant governor of his rotary district.

Richard Herden. 

Director / Construction Manager.

Rick worked on construction sites before commencing studies in Architecture at Queensland University of Technology.

While studying Rick worked in Architectural firms where he performed a wide range of duties including design, documentation and contract administration on numerous industrial, commercial and residential projects.

In 1997 Rick chose to pursue a career in Project Management and performed this role for several large education and commercial projects including the Queen Street Mall and Townsville Strand redevelopments as well as prestige residential projects throughout Clayfield, Hamilton and Pullenvale in Brisbane.

In 1999 he joined Wright Developments as construction manager and became an equity partner and director of Wright Developments Qld Pty Ltd in 2004.
